Technical Game Designer

​BSc (Hons) Computer Games Design

I have graduated from the University of Staffordshire
as a Technical Game Designer. I believe the most critical element of a game is that it is both enjoyable to play and challenging. It should provide players with goals to strive for, offering a sense of satisfaction upon achieving them, which encourages progression toward the next milestone, thereby enhancing the overall gameplay loop.
I am passionate about creating and playing video games, analyzing their mechanics, and considering how I can incorporate similar elements into my own projects.

Development

My primary area of expertise lies in working with Unreal Engine.

I have several years of experience utilizing Blueprints and other systems within Unreal Engine. I am proficient in rapidly prototyping ideas, ensuring they are clear and well-structured, and I am eager to iterate on them to enhance the prototype. Additionally, I am skilled in the most effective methods for implementing UI widgets.

Game Design 

I served as the lead game designer for my collaborative project.

I am capable of designing gameplay systems, game loops, and balancing mechanics against each other. I can effectively demonstrate these various gameplay systems using diagrams. Additionally, I can present design concepts in a clear, readable, and professional game design document. I am also proficient in creating and implementing UI designs, with the ability to iterate on them to improve functionality and aesthetics.

UI and UX Design 

I have designed and implemented UI for game projects, showcasing a complete workflow from concept to integration.
I focus on creating user-friendly interfaces that prioritize the player’s experience at every stage.
My goal is to ensure the UI is not only visually appealing, but also intuitive, accessible, and seamless to use.

Level Design 

I am proficient in designing levels on paper and translating them into a game engine using references. I can efficiently create gray box levels in Unreal Engine and subsequently develop them with full detail. Additionally, I have utilized Unreal Engine plugins to facilitate level creation.
